Evening, everyone. With the weather chilling a bit last week it was very tempting to get out and hit the water. The Vedder has had some better days and on Monday it seemed a batch of Steelhead showed up and a few people had more than one fish for the day. Still they haven't been huge in size, mostly in the 6 lb to 10 lb range but hey, that still is a nice fish.
My source on the Island was reporting slim pickings on salt water cutties but others in the Port Albernie area were spending money on Steelhead gear.
As for me, the pictures below are from a day on the Squamish which was just perfect from a fishing point of view, the weather was just below freezing so part of the morning had iced up my rod eyes but by about 10:00 am the temperature was just perfect and the fishing was steady.
