Any day is a great day to create your own family legend. We just decided to take a day off and look what we ended up with! Your legendary trip could be next!
![]() While everyone else was busting their credit limits shopping the Black Friday sales I decided to head up the Pitt River for some photos, fishing and relaxing. The sky brightened as the temperature dropped a little bit and a soft misty fog formed at one of my favorite sturgeon fishing holes. ![]() The fog bank grew and rolled across the river. And while you can't see them, there were half a dozen swans in the fog bank. Four or five mature birds and a signet. The stillness was broken by their trumpeting and the occasional splash of a sturgeon or trout. Later on, the swans did an aerial V formation overhead but alas, I wasn't quick enough with the camera. ![]() About 5 sturgeon into the day, this little fella dropped by to say hello. Today I dropped my gear size down a bit as one of my main purposes was to see if I could find smaller fish as part of the white sturgeon tagging program. As most fishermen/ladies are after the big boys we end up with very little knowledge of the rearing habitat needs of the little guys. This was the 2nd in this size range. The ride home didn't dissappoint for scenery either. The photos below hardly do this rainbow justice. It was perhaps one of the brightest I have ever seen. Winter on the river, you just never know what will show up. Tight Lines!
