Today was good Friday and for many it is a special day to remember the Passion of Christ and to reflect on His sacrifice for us. For the afternoon it was a chance to get out and enjoy Creation and April with its rain, sun, showers, wind and rain, sun, showers....etc., etc. So we tripped up to the upper Squamish where the water was clear and fast. While there weren't many fish today, the ones we got were feisty. This chrome rainbow with an amazing pallet of spots got Gabe off to a great start. I pulled in a nice bull trout however the fish generally played hard to get today. But fish aren't everything. As we went down one of the canyons we saw a white spot on the cliff ahead. It turned out it was beautiful billy goat trying to soak up some spring sun but it was mostly getting rain showers. He was hanging out with about 4 others in a ridiculous cliff area which seemed impossible to have gotten down to. Further downstream, another two were spotted up on a cliff. The wind and rain made us feel the chill, still, they seemed warm and relaxed and pretty much just watched us. So, spring was showing signs everywhere, we got out into the wilderness, it was a good Friday and Sunday is a commin!...........a good day, tight lines, and may God bless you and your families this holy weekend!
